Presented here is a magnificent retro example of Art Deco Craftsmanship for fashion costume jewelry. The center medallion (enhancer) can be interchanged with any number of chains. We have included it with a serpentine tubular mesh chain. Both the chain and the pendant are signed by Jan Michaels a world famous San Francisco artist who Clive knows personally and has purchased many of her works . This particular pendant is polished brass and contains a muted color marble Trapeze shaped stone encased in a Deco brass design. The pendant measures 2 1/2″ in length and the schain measures about 15 1/2″ in length and the generous 2 1/2″ extension with a lobster claw clasp. The attention to detail is great and the entire piece is very well made. The Art Deco movement dared to be different…….you can too.
Presented here is a three strand Freshwater pearl necklace supported by a double leather strap and a Sterling Silver Lobster claw clasp. All three strands are presented in a random size and shape arrangement. The total length of the necklace is a little over 12″. The Pearls have a creamy luminescence to them. This 7 double strand Onyx necklace supports a Swarovski Crystal pavé twisted snake from which a 12 strand Onyx sautoir or tassle dangles with two very small Swarovski pavé crystal balls at the end. The entire necklace is about 14″ in length and contains a Sterling Silver Lobster claw clasp. The Onyx strands measure about 7 1/2″ in length. This magnificent necklace is designed and signed by Joe Vilaiwan consists of honey colored bezel set glass petals culminating in a huge floral pattern sunburst with a large sparkling brown multi tiered acrylic center medallion. ( wow that was a mouthful) . The two columns of glass petals that support the medallion overlap one another. The floral sunburst measures 5″ high and about 4 ” wide. Clive’s Unique Jewelry has resurrected from his private collection this very rare original 1970’s Yves St Laurent Opium Perfume Flask Pendant/Sautoir. The case is faux Cinebar about 1 1/2″ x 1 3/4″ supported by a 27 1/2″ long black silk cord and accentuated with a 5″ long tassel. The case contains approximately 3/5 ml of Opium Perfume with a white plastic stopper. The perfume bottle is full and contains the original plastic stopper. When it becomes a necklace. Many, many years ago Clive’s Unique Jewelry purchased this belt back in the late 60’s early 70’s and there it sat in inventory all this time. Clive’s Unique Jewelry decided to revive it but not as a belt but made it into a necklace. Guess what?….the 2″ wide gold tone circles are adorned with Italian multi color glass….possibly Murano, and tassels. It comes with a wide gold tone link chain and a “J” clasp. We think it made a statement then as a belt and now as a necklace as well.
From Clive’s Unique Jewelry Private collection comes this magnificent 18 strand Peridot necklace /choker unsigned by the Danish designer Gerda Lynggaard for Monies. The necklace includes her signature triangular Ebony clasp. The necklace measures 19″ end to end including the clasps. This necklace is about 25 years old and Clive’s Unique Jewelry purchased this necklace brand new and has never been worn or purchased by another individual. Ten Silk woven strands support this magnificent Mother Of Pearl Necklace. The Mother of Pearl center medallion is 3″ in diameter and supports 5 graduated discs in a waterfall pattern ranging is size from 1″ to about 1 1/4 “. The luminescence of this Mother Of Pearl is outstanding which resembles Aurora Borealis of pink and green on a golden shimmering background. The photographs do not do this necklace justice. What we have here is a vintage Sterling Silver grape cluster Brooch/Pendant. The jewelry marks to the verso are TS-102, Mexico 925. It is a combo brooch and pendant and measures not quite 3″ tall by 2 1/2″ wide. There are some wear marks on the front of the grape stem and to the verso of the pin. These, however do not detract from its beauty and wearability. This vintage pin, like vintage wine is a classic.

I know we are rushing Spring & Summer a bit, but Clive’s Unique Jewelry loves bright vibrant colors and this is a great example in this all glass necklace intertwined with ropes of glass beads to form a sensational bib necklace. Although we purchased it as new, we feel it has been made in the 70’s or so and is definitely artisan crafted. The necklace measures about 7″ in length and about 6″ at its widest point. This is the best strand of faux Pearls we have seen so far in 2020 or for that matter in a long time. We feel they have emerged out of hiding from the 1950’s and wow…..each Pearl is individually knotted with cotton thread. That’s a lot of work just for faux pearls, but things were made differently way back then.
