Instead of breathing fire, this dragon is spitting out a lovely Amethyst bezel set into Sterling Silver.  Although purchased recently, this brooch is about 10 years or so old.  The dragon detail is remarkable with the Amethyst showing great color.  This unique brooch is a distant cousin to Puff The Magic Dragon !
